| We now offer 3 beautiful log cabins for rent. They all come equipped with everything you need for some comfortable time away from it all! The kitchens come equipped with stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and
cookware. We also offer charcoal grills, picnic tables, fire rings,
air conditioning and fireplaces and we now have tv/dvd players and DISH network in all of the cabins.
Towels and linens are also provided. You don't even need to pack food because everything you need is offered at the General Store. |

The first of the cabins is an
816 square foot cabin constructed out of 7 inch lodge pole
pine. It features a loft, log beds, full kitchen,
bath/shower, fireplace and deck overlooking the trout
stream. Outside you will find a charcoal grill, fire ring and
picnic table.
The cabin has all the amenities
of home to keep you comfortable! The downstairs bedroom
features an Amish made queen sized bed, along with two
more full sized beds in the loft. The living area will fit
your needs with rockers and a pull out twin sized couch,
The cabin sleeps six adults comfortably.
Right outside the door of the
cabin are acres of wooded state land great for hunting!
Whether you love the wildlife and outdoors or you're
simply a relaxer, we've got something for everyone! |

The Brookside Features

The second cabin is a one-room "studio" style cabin and is
16 x 24 with an 8 x 24 porch. This cozy cabin is nestled on a southern facing slope overlooking the South Bear Valley. Like the first cabin, it is constructed of 7 inch lodge pole pine. It features a vaulted ceiling, small kitchenette with fridge, stove, microwave and coffee maker. The cabin has an open floor plan with a private bathroom for your convenience. It will sleep 4 comfortably with a full size log bed and log bunk beds which are
Amish made. You may also rest and relax in front of the fireplace on the couch or rocker.
This home away from home is only a short walk away from South Bear Creek for some good ol' trout fishing, or for you hunters; some of Northeast Iowa's best public hunting ground. The Highland General Store and Campground are also nearby where you can pick up some groceries or rent a movie for those rainy days. |

Now for rent- Cabin #3 The Whitetail.
• We are now offering this beautiful cabin for rent.

This cabin has a spacious open floor plan with full kitchen including dishwasher. As you venture past the kitchen there is a dining area and large living area with corner fireplace and tv/vcr/dvd. There is also a bathroom off of the kitchen with stand up shower. Next you will fall in love with the master bedroom with queen size log bed and of course the master bathroom with
Jacuzzi tub for total relaxation.

Up the log stairs you will find a roomy loft with a full size bed and two twin beds. All of the beds are log and
Amish made. Downstairs is a finished basement with 3 full size beds and bathroom with tub/shower. We will be adding a log bar with stools and there is a
foostable.

The only thing you need to bring is your family and friends and any food or personal items. The rest is waiting here for you to enjoy!

This cabin will hold up to 12 adults.
